MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

Under our mentorship program, our goal is to empower the community to reach its full potential through life skills training and learn-through-play interventions. Recently, thanks to the dedication of our volunteers, we have seen tremendous outcomes within the target timeframe. These include higher college enrollment rates, enhanced self-esteem and self-confidence, improved behavior, and a noticeable decrease in drug and substance abuse.

The program also aims to foster healthy, long-lasting relationships between mentors and mentees, creating positive impacts that extend beyond the immediate outcomes. Our target group includes learners in primary and secondary schools, students in higher learning institutions, and recent graduates.

LIFESKILLS INTERVENTION

  • Life transitions often come with challenges that require support. Our intervention is designed to promote mental well-being and build competence within the community as we navigate life's realities. We focus on enhancing communication and interpersonal skills, decision-making and problem-solving abilities, creative and critical thinking, self-awareness and empathy, as well as assertiveness and personal awareness. These trainings equip individuals with the tools they need to thrive during life’s transitions, fostering resilience and well-rounded personal development.

LEARN THROUGH PLAY

  • Play significantly enhances the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional well-being of children and young people. It helps them develop essential skills like confidence in a natural and enjoyable way. Our intervention supports this by nurturing talents and providing the necessary equipment, such as uniforms and balls, to encourage active participation in games. We also mentor them to be creative with local games and songs, fostering easy interaction and cultural connection. Our dedicated volunteers play a crucial role in guiding and supporting the youth, ensuring they benefit fully from these activities.
