Our Story

Thriving Generation is a youth-founded and youth-led registered community-based organization located in Kirinyaga County. Established under the Community Group Registration Act No. 30 of 2022, the organization is dedicated to promoting sustainable development through advocacy, mentorship, and economic empowerment in local communities. Since its inception as a volunteer organization in 2021, Thriving Generations has been a proud member of the Volunteer Involving Organizations Society of Kenya, an umbrella body for volunteer organizations that supports the UN resolution to promote volunteerism as a cross-cutting strategy for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Our strategy is closely aligned with Kenya’s Vision 2030 and is designed to address five major sustainable development goals. Through the efforts of committed volunteers, we work tirelessly to empower communities, foster economic growth, and advocate for meaningful change, contributing to both national and global development agendas.

  • Our impact is data driven, we value decision made from facts, metrics and data to guide the decisions that align with our goals, objectives and initiatives. outcomes improve by developing strategies based on concrete details. In 2021-2023 years we have managed to reach  834   individuals under our mentorship program across all our targets which gives us 96%goal achievement  ,Under our SRHR program we have had 620 individuals being part of the program that gives us 86% goal achievement ,Under environment program  we have managed to reach 68% of the individuals  and under our GBV  we have managed 34% reach scale to the primary actors .

GOALS

1.To conserve the environment by pursuing projects with notable social and environmental impacts.

2.Reduce the incidences of Discrimination, Sexual and Gender based violence through advocacy and psychosocial support to the victims .

3.Narrowing the gap in entrepreneurship and economic empowerment through soft skills and entrepreneurship training.
